Snews Outdoor features two stories (available to read here and here) of film, Jeff Lowe's Metanoia, which is set to be screened at ShAFF. This film follows the life and climbs of legendary alpinist Jeff Lowe. For the past decade Jeff has suffered from a relentlessly progressive neurological deterioration and is now confined to a wheelchair. Narrated by Jon Krakauer, the film tells the compelling story of his life including the Metanoia route on the North Face of the Eiger and his latest challenge of facing his own mortality. It was the Winner of Best Mountaineering Film at Kendal Mountain Festival.
