ShAFF2015 Teams Up With The Climbing Works

10th Feb 2015

Climbing Works 650

The Sheffield Adventure Film Festival is teaming up with The Climbing Works – the world’s biggest bouldering wall.  For the first time, the top climbing film will be presented in association with The Climbing Works.  The winner of The Climbing Works Best Climb Film will win a £100 prize.

ShAFF is offering a VIP ticket package for the raffle at the Climbing Works International Festival (7-8 March).  The winner will get a free pair of tickets to any three sessions of their choice.  This year there are four Climbing Film Sessions including Kendal Grand Prize Winner Valley Uprising and Jeff Lowe’s Metanoia, as well as a Mountain Film session and a special screening of Verdon as part of the BMC Steve McClure lecture.

They will also receive a free pair of tickets to the ShAFF Ambassadors’ Hangout on Friday night for Sheffield’s local athletes, hosted by  BMC TV and Creative Sheffield.

2015 marks Sheffield Adventure Film Festival’s 10th birthday (March 20-22). The weekend long festival – presented by Rab and supporting Sheffield’s Helipad Appeal – attracts more than three thousand visitors.  With 116 of the best adventure, extreme sports and travel films handpicked from all over the world, organisers (Grindleford based Heason Events) reckon they now show more films than any other adventure festival anywhere in the world.

The festival video trailer has been  produced by Peak District filmmakers Polished Project with a voiceover by Sheffield climber and author Niall Grimes and soundtrack by Sheffield band ‘I Set The Sea On Fire’.
