Three piece blues rock band from Sheffield, influences from Jimi Hendrix, The Black Keys and Cream. The band took home the award from "Best Live Band" in the 2012 Sheffield Scenester awards, and are nominated for "Best Live Band" and "Best Male Vocalist" in this years awards. Whole songs are often improvised and jammed. If you like blues music mashed up with some psychedelic rock, you will love The Downtown Roots. Fresh out of the legendary Club 60 studios, their first CD "Make noise and mean it" Will be available in April.
