With more and more projects, like Terry Abraham’s ‘Life of A Mountain - Scafell Pike’ and Polished Project’s IMpossible (premiering at ShAFF this year), succeeding via crowdsourcing platforms such as Kickstarter and Indiegogo,  Sylvia Wroblewska, Director of Business and Sponsorships for Sheffield’s Doc/Fest, will present this free session on crowdfunding in adventure.

Sylvia Wroblewska first attended Doc/Fest as a delegate in 2008. Each year since, she has supported events and produced sessions for Doc/Fest, including the first BFI Live Pitch in Sheffield. In 2013 Sylvia joined the Doc/Fest team as Business and Marketing Director.    

She has worked alongside Lizzie Gillet and Franny Armstrong the producer and director of the climate change blockbuster The Age of Stupid - arguably the best alternative distribution and funding strategists in the business who pioneered and implemented the enormously successful "crowd-funding" scheme raising £900,000 from 300+ people.
