Thanks to our online video partner, leading extreme sports content distributor, X-Treme Video, one of our 100 guests will win an xsories U-shot, extendable, lightweight, aluminium telescopic pole for a compact camera worth £32.99.  Xsories equipment is also available from X-Treme Video's concept store, by Walski in Shoreditch.  We'll pick the winner at random from ticket numbers on the night.

ShAFF screens the best adventure films from around the world and we're proud that so many filmmakers and athletes make the journey to the festival and also that we have so much homegrown talent right here on our doorstep.  

We're known as the friendly festival and we hope Industry Hangout, which we launched last year, will once again be a chance for industry representatives to get together, make contacts and relax and have a drink.  So if you're a filmmaker who wants to pitch an idea to a potential sponsor, find a musician for that perfect soundtrack or if you run a business and you'd like to talk to filmmakers, photographers and athletes about promoting your brand, this is the perfect occasion.

Last year more than 100 people attended and at least 3 deals were made and what was scheduled as an hour long drinks and nibbles went on long into the evening.  We'll update this year's guests on this page as we get confirmations so you can see who you might like to meet and we can help facilitate introductions.  Click here to view the 2014 guest list.

We're grateful to Dave Mycroft from MyOutdoors for organising Industry Hangout and to the Outdoor Industries Association for sponsoring the evening.  This year Sheffield's been recognised as the UK's Outdoor Capital City and the OIA will be hosting the European Outdoor Summit conference in Sheffield on 14th and 15th October.
