This summer, Cumbrian fell runner Steve Birkinshaw set a new record for tackling all of Alfred Wainwright's 214 peaks in the Lake District.   Steve broke the record set by Joss Naylor in 1987, who completed the challenge in seven days, one hour and 25 minutes.

The 46 year old university researcher ran the equivalent of two marathons a day completing a total of 320 miles, with 118,000ft of ascent in six days and 13 hours.  Steve's sister has Multiple Sclerosis and his challenge raised more than £20,000 for MS charities the national MS Society and a local charity, the Samson Centre.

Steve will talk for 45 minutes and then he'll do a Q&A with Trail Running magazine editor Claire Maxted.

Two lucky audience members will win a Berghaus Vapour Light 20 Daysack worth £60.  (Claire is renowned for her ShAFF competitions - they usually involve audience members running up and down the aisles).
