FAMILY-FRIENDLY FILMS AND ACTIVITIES
IMPORTANT NOTE ON CERTIFICATION: Most films screened at ShAFF do not have official BBFC certification. As such, the local council views them to be suitable only for people aged 18 and over. We cannot afford to pay for all films to be certified. Instead we have curated four family-friendly programmes and two weekend-long film loops to make the festival accessible and enjoyable for people of all ages. All other films are by default certified 18.
TALKS / FRINGE EVENTS: Children will also be allowed into all live events, lectures and fringe events (with ticket/registration) unless they include an uncertified film, but we can't be held responsible for any strong language used.
